Mie Sofia Elers was born in Pucon, Chile, to a Chilean mother and Danish father. As a result, she grew up fluent in Danish, Spanish and English. She discovered her love for acting at a young age and began participating in theater. Under the guidance of Chilean coach and casting director Paula Leoncini, Elers meticulously honed her acting skills..

Later, Elers attended the Copenhagen Film and Theatre School, where she earned a 1-year international diploma. There, she learned about different acting techniques like Stanislavski, Meisner, and Method. She also had coaching under the mentorship of Danish actress Laura Kvist.

Seeking further growth, she moved to Madrid, Spain, to study at the Central de Cine acting academy. Graduating with a 2-year diploma, her focus shifted to acting for cinema. She explored various genres and delved into the intricacies of the Michail Chejov technique.
